Tuolumne County has some of the most beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails in the country.  Below are our favorites and some pictures to show the highlights of our area.  Maps are available at the front desk, and we would be glad to point you in the right direction. Kennedy Meadows to Sonora Pass-Vic and friend Kenny are riding this one this weekend, pictures as soon as they are back!

Lyons Dam Railroad Grade Trail-Nice easy to medium ride on railroad grade, five miles to the dam from starting gate on South Fork/Confidence Road.  Excellent for family hiking or biking.  Bring a picnic and enjoy the views of Lyons Reservoir.

Mt. Elizabeth to Cedar Ridge- Absolutely beautiful trail that meanders along what the locals call the "ditch". The man-made ditch runs throughout Tuolumne County and is our local waterway that feeds from the lakes and reservoirs.

Strawberry to Twain Harte - Pictures coming soon!

Westside Rail Trail- This is a beautiful ride this time of year.  All of the flowers are in bloom!  Nice easy railroad grade for hiking on the upper end or you can mountain bike all the way down to the river and back up (straight up!) Buchanen Mine Road.

Pinecrest Lake- Great hike around Pinecrest Lake!

Twain Harte to Columbia Bike Ride-Pictures coming soon!  This ride is for experienced riders.  It continues from the Mt. Elizabeth-Cedar Ridge Trail and meets up with Big Hill Road and continues in to Columbia.  The ride back is pretty much straight up hill, or just have someone pick you and the bikes up in Columbia!
